H2L first became a member of The Dispute Service (TDS) deposit protection scheme in April 2010. Our membership number is G08408.
TDS is an independent, not-for-profit, company established in 2003 to resolve tenancy deposit disputes in the private rented sector and is one of two “custodial” schemes in operation where agents and landlords can continue to hold tenants’ monies.
The scheme is operated in accordance with the requirements of the Housing Act 2004 and provides a dispute resolution service should a dispute about the allocation of a deposit arise at the end of the tenancy.
The main aims of TDS are to protect deposits, ensure the return promptly at the end of the tenancy where there is no dispute, and to ensure that any disputes are dealt with fairly and quickly.
